Ignition Kids: Supporting Third Culture Kids
At Ignition Kids, we am committed to providing a supportive and understanding environment for third culture kids (TCKs).

As an organization, we recognize and celebrate the unique experiences of children who have grown up in a culture different from that of their parents, due to their parent's work or other reasons.

We understand the challenges that TCKs face, from struggling to define their own cultural identity to feeling the weight of straddling multiple worlds.

Our programs and resources are designed to address these specific needs, offering a space where TCKs can explore their own identity, connect with others who share similar experiences, and find guidance who understand the nuances of being a third culture child.

At Ignition Kids, we believe that by providing a platform for TCKs to share their stories and express their concerns to someone who can relate to their experiences. This will empower these children to embrace their unique cultural background and build a strong sense of self. Through programs. we aim to foster a supportive network that nurtures the growth and development of third culture kids.

Our commitment to supporting TCKs extends beyond just their time with us. We strive to equip them with the tools and confidence to navigate the challenges of being a third culture child even as they grow into adulthood. Whether it's through culturally sensitive debriefing services, we are dedicated to being a constant source of support for TCKs throughout their journey.

In essence, at Ignition Kids, we stand by the belief that a strong foundation and a supportive community can make all the difference in the lives of third culture kids, helping them thrive and flourish wherever they go.

What people are saying ?

  • "Kath immediately put our children at ease and engaged them. It was great to have Kath come and do the activities with us as a family because it was all of us learning and talking together rather than mum and dad trying to teach the kids something. Our 11yo said, "It's hard to talk about this stuff, but good, I feel lighter now."

  • "We were so impressed by the amazing kids preparation program run by Kath Williams. We were so grateful to have Kath invest such energy and interest into our children as they transition into a foreign culture. The activities were absolutely wonderful, creative, thoughtful and so helpful as the kids develop cultural awareness and understanding. Kath showed such deep care and interest into each and every child. She is such an asset and blessing to the families!

  • “Thank you so much Kath for being a part of our children's home assignment. I'm personally excited that your role exists and that you can help our children process their time away."

  • “Kath does vital work supporting the children of missionaries throughout their journeys. For many missionary kids, Kath is the one person they know is there for THEM - not their parents, or their parents' work, to support them through all the ups and downs of missionary kid life. She does this with joy, care, kindness, and a thoughtful theological framework."

  • Our whole family is incredibly grateful for the preparation children's program. Our kids loved learning about their future country, school and foods, and the countries of their friends. We loved that they are more equipped for the move, while feeling like they had fun with new friends rather than sitting in a classroom”
